Technology is an ever growing and changing necessity in today’s modern society. From checking our emails, staying in contact, and shopping for groceries or clothes technology has become apart of the current generations everyday life and has turned from a luxury into a necessary item to get through the day. With all of this ever evolving and life changing gadgets and software around us it can seem extremely daunting and at times impossible to learn and keep up with especially for the older generations. This is where Real Connections from Community Senior Services comes in to help!
Community Senior Services is an organization that focuses on helping the older generations and looks to create programs and events to assist with problems just like the one with learning new technology. By creating Real Connections, Community Senior Services has provided a way for the younger and more tech savvy generations to reach out and help the older generations with adapting and learning about this overwhelming new age of software and computers.
Resource Computer Solutions employees learned about this program through Community Senior Services and quickly took the opportunity to get involved and participate in helping the elderly in the area learn more about the technology that has become an everyday part of their lives. Two of our employees, Brett Severson and Matthew Perry, enjoyed their time connecting with and teaching these individuals so much that they have stayed in contact with Community Senior Services and scheduled another Tech Talk with the elderly for May 16th.
Resource Computer Solutions is filled with driven and passionate individuals that when given the opportunity love to participate and volunteer their time to reach out in the community and help others with any and all technology questions and issues they may have at the time. Staying connected and being an active member of the Upland and Claremont community for all generations is something that RCS always proudly strives to do.
