The online world has grown and rapidly become a more visual and interactive place where the more engaged users feel, the more responsive and receptive they become. You may be wondering at this point what exactly you should put into the video though or even how long it should be. As tempting as it is to fill a video with as much information as possible, depending on which platform you use for displaying the footage your video should range between 30 seconds to five minutes in length. It’s difficult to maintain a viewers attention, and with platforms such as Instagram allowing only very brief videos, it’s important to keep your message concise. What sort of content should you put in your video though? Anything can go into your video, so what’s important is to make sure that the content you put in is something of value you believe your clients and viewers need to hear. It’s also important to remember that when addressing your viewers in the video that they may not know all of the technical terms you do and to treat the video like you are speaking to someone one on one to allow it to feel more personable.
With so many ways of creating videos it takes a bit of trial and error to find what works best for each business but the efforts are well worth the reward.
